Masculine Card Class

Are you looking for a card making class in northern New Jersey? This is it! A card making, rubber stamping class in my Pine Brook, NJ home (that's in Morris County). In this "Cards for Him" class, we'll make 5 cards for the men in our lives. Masculine cards can often be difficult to make - not at this class! There will be an evening session and a morning session for this class: Thursday, June 4 from 7:30-9:30 PM or Friday, June 5 from 9:30-11:30 AM. Class fee of $20 includes 5 cards, envelopes and technique instruction.

Some of the techniques that we'll be using include: dry embossing, heat embossing, die cutting, 2 step stamping, paper piecing and watercoloring. Lots of fun techniques to try, so don't miss out! Flower Card

Here's a card that we made at a fun, product-based class that I had last week. My attendees went home with the new Walk in the Park Designer Series paper (#115123), Oval All stamp set (#113790) and the Scalloped Oval Punch (#114889). Here at the class, they made 6 cards that showcased all of these products, plus a great folder & portfolio sleeve in which to store or present the cards. My ladies were thrilled with their new products, plus the ideas and inspiration they went home with - now they're ready to create some more!

I like the simplicity of this card, and I like the juxtaposition of the feminine flower from the Pretties Kit (#109144) with the Corduroy brad. So simple to put together, and I like the elegant outcome!

Easter / Spring Scrapbook Kit or Class

Today is National Scrapbooking Day! What are you doing to celebrate? I'm celebrating all month long, and one of the things I've done is prepared a 2 page scrapbook layout with an Easter or Spring theme. I'll be offering this 2-page layout both as a long distance kit, or a scrapbooking class for those of you who are local to my Morris County, New Jersey home.

Here are the details: to purchase the supplies necessary to recreate this at home, use the PayPal links below. The kit features the Tea Party Designer Series Paper. Card stock and patterned paper pieces will vary by kit, but they'll all coordinate with the Tea Party paper (Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink, Basic Gray, Almost Amethyst, So Saffron).

 

With purchase of the kit, you'll receive two 12x12 sheets of textured cardstock, 4 12" strips of card stock and patterned paper to use for the page borders, 4 8.5x11" pieces of coordinating card stock to use for photo mats, miscellaneous strips of patterned paper from the Tea Party pack to use for eggs (or flowers) in the basket, and step-by-step assembly instructions complete with photos.

To complete the scrapbook layout at home as pictured, you will need:

Sorry for my recent lack of posts. My little guy's been sick, and I've been struck by the spring cleaning bug. When that strikes, it's better just to go with the flow, KWIM? Less of an ordeal when you're actually in the mood!

Here's a card that we'll be making at the final session of my "Cards for Her" class on Friday morning. There's still time to sign up for this rubber stamping class in my eastern Morris County, NJ home. Contact me, or reserve your spot with your PayPal Payment below. We're making 5 different feminine cards, easily adaptable for Mother's Day, Teacher's Appreciation, Birthday, Friendship, Get Well, etc. We'll also be using a few different fun techniques. For this card I used the versatile Fifth Avenue Floral (#113734) stamp set. I based this card on one designed by my upline. I changed the colors, added a layer & a button. I love how this incorporated lots of the In Colors for this year. Strange to think that we'll be losing these colors in a few months - now's a great time to start stashing them!

I overlapped the images on the main panel, but this stamp set would be great for using the masking technique. Masking would give a more elegant look - this one's a little riotous. Are you guys familiar with the masking technique? If you'd like to know more, let me know - I'd be happy to do a quick how-to, complete with pictures!
